Four area high school seniors have each been awarded a $500 scholarship from Farm Credit Services of North Dakota.
Travis Evenson – Coleharbor; Benjamin Johnson – Crosby; Michael Price – Douglas; and Matthew Ruland – Ross, were chosen for their outstanding scholastic and leadership achievements during high school. These recipients will be recognized at the Farm Credit Services of ND 2008 Annual Stockholders’ meeting on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at the Holiday Inn – Riverside in Minot, ND.
The three independent Farm Credit Services associations headquartered in Fargo, Mandan and Minot - with branch offices in various locations throughout ND and MN, award scholarships annually to students entering college in the fall. This year the four associations awarded a total of 32 scholarships totaling $28,000.
FCS of ND offers farm operating, equipment and real estate loans, crop insurance and a variety of financial services and products. The Minot association serves 17 counties in northwest North Dakota through its branch offices in Minot, Bottineau, Carrington, Rugby, Williston, Bowbells Crop Insurance, Schaan Crop Insurance and Ward County Crop Insurance.
