Farm Credit Services of North Dakota is proud to announce the Pat-NOW Community Fund (PNCF). This fund has been established to have grants available for projects and organizations that positively impact agriculture in northwest North Dakota.

The rural communities in northwest North Dakota face challenges every day and at Farm Credit Services of ND we believe it's important to give back to these communities.The support these communities have given Farm Credit Services over the years makes us very proud to give back with the goal of helping them make a difference.

The Pat-NOW Community Fund of $100,000 is funded annually by Farm Credit Services of North Dakota. Grants will be available up to $10,000.

Grants will be considered for any purpose consistent with the fund objective - projects and organizations that positively impact agriculture. Through this fund, Farm Credit Services provides grants to support, but not limited to, the following:

     - Agriculture Education:  Education for youth, high school, university, general public, or producers that is specific to agriculture
     - Young and Beginning Producers:  Projects and initiatives that support the next generation of agriculture
     - Hunger and Nutrition:  Provide local support for addressing food and hunger issues
     - Senior Citizens/Community Centers:  Provide support to community centers that serve retired farmers
     - Local Community Projects:  Projects and initiatives that support local rural communities
     - Local Food Farmers:  Financial grants available to segments in agriculture where farmers sell directly to customers

Applications will be considered three times a year. The PNCF administrators will review and evaluate completed applications and notify applicants once the review and approval process has been completed.

What is the purpose of the Pat-NOW Community Fund?

Who qualifies?
Preference will be given to a project or organization that is qualified as a 501(c)(3) entity under the IRS code. Requests for funding from governmental authorities will also be considered, but not at the federal, state or county levels. Other organizations may be considered but requests by or for the personal benefit of an individual will not. A request will not be considered from a religious group for a religious purpose unless it is funding or sponsoring funding of a community medical, housing or food project. We do not discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation, race. color, religion, creed, age, marital status, disability or national origin.

How do we apply?
Applications are available to download (pdf 179KB). Grant applications will be evaluated three times a year. The applications must be received electronically.

What is your decision process?
Grant applications will be reviewed by the Fund administrators. Applicants will be notified as soon as possible after the review is concluded. If your application is approved, keep a record of your project, updating the Fund administrators periodically, and inform community leaders and local media as the project progresses.
